First you need to know your Ayurvedic constitution  
Every cell of your body is made from five elements -- space, air, fire, water, earth, which combine to make three distinct energies or "doshas" -- Vata (air & space), Pitta (fire & water), Kapha (earth & water) which make up your personal constitution.  Your birth constitution, your predominant dosha(s), is determined by a simple questionnaire.  This will let you know your natural physical and mental strengths and challenges and is a positive step towards understanding your unique health needs.  Your birth constitution is then compared with your current physical and mental state to determine where the imbalances are.  
With the first session of the Ayurvedic Food Lifestyle Program you will determine your constitution and your imbalances.

When you follow the principles of Ayurveda, what can it do for you?

Mental and physical health exists when there is balance in the doshas.  The doshas can easily become imbalanced and aggravated with lifestyle, food or activities that do not support your general health according to the needs of your particular constitution.  And this imbalance first shows up with subtle symptoms, followed by more noticeable symptoms and ultimately specific health conditions.  

It is important to know your doshic constitution because every activity and function of your mind and body is dependent upon the state of balance of imbalance of your doshas.  Many common disorders such as anxiety and fear, constipation or diarrhea, depression, digestive problems, fatigue, weight challenges, fluid retention, immune system strength, skin conditions, lung conditions, and more are all related to imbalances in the five elements that make up your constitution.  These imbalances of body and mind can be easily and naturally taken care of by learning the simple food and lifestyle needs of your constitution.  The Ayurvedic Food Lifestyle Program focuses especially on determining your constitution and how to eat for your constitution.  And when you're ready, the Ayurvedic Healthy Habits Lifestyle Program will take you even deeper (coming soon).

About me
Ayurveda has been a love of mine for many years.  I have a background in Maharishi Ayurveda (1982-1986) from Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield, Iowa.  I worked as an Ayurvedic "technician" at a Maharishi Ayurvedic Spa in Huntsville, Ontario (1987) doing Ayurvedic treatments and overseeing the Ayurvedic kitchen and meals.  And I have training in Ayurveda for Health Coaching (2017) with Annette Shellenbarger, Doctor of Ayurveda.  Now I'm ready to share my knowledge to help you learn how to apply Ayurvedic Lifestyle principles to your life.
